Former Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Ciara, the pop music icon who is married to Wilson, are selling their massive mansion in Bellevue for $36 million. The property is located at 905 Shoreland Drive SE and is the most expensive home currently for sale in Bellevue by a wide margin.
Wilson, 33, picked up the property for $6.7 million in 2015 when he was starring for the Seahawks. Following a blockbuster trade to the Denver Broncos last month, he and his wife Ciara are now ready to part with their place in the Pacific Northwest. Along with the bedrooms, the official listing by Windermere Real Estate notes the house features seven bathrooms of various sizes, a cinema, a dance studio, a “Hollywood-worthy glam room,” and a three-story elevator.
Details of the house
The listing notes are made up of six bedrooms and five bathrooms, the estate spans more than 11,000 square feet and stands on nearly 2 acres of land, which features private beaches and gardens with Seattle skyline views. The grand spaces include a dramatic foyer, formal living, and dining rooms, and a family room with a fireplace. Lake and city views are visible from almost every angle.
Pictures in the listing indicate the property has several amenities for families with children, including a play structure outside, a basketball or tennis court, a children’s playroom with glass walls and doors, and a treehouse with an interior design and elegant decor which suggest that the space was ready for adult-use.
Some of its grand details include marble floors, elegant chandeliers, winding staircases with iron railings, and a custom kitchen featuring cabinets hand-carved by Romanian artists. There’s also a spacious center island, a walk-in pantry, and a wine cellar that can house up to 2,000 bottles.
The views from the property are spectacular. They wrap all the way around the opulent mansion and pristinely landscaped grounds. Inside the mansion are soaring ceilings, chandeliers and a swirling spiral staircase. The big office and incredible primary suite, which overlooks the lake, speak to high-end luxury at its literal highest end.
The central space of the home features a spiraling staircase with beautiful iron workings for the railings. The home features a few Tibetan-style doors and entryways that look as if they open to some sort of Himalayan temple. An earlier listing of the home claimed that the doors and entryways are 500-year-old hand-carved pieces, presumably imported.
Some other amenities their compound has are five fireplaces, several skylights for natural light, and panoramic views of the lake from every room of the house. In addition, there’s a media room, a gym, a swimming pool, and a private dock for boating. The home also includes several exercise areas, a home gym, several lounges with pool tables, an ornate home theatre, a walk-in closet, a massive kitchen equipped with at least two refrigerators, and what appears to be a recording studio.
